A week with the Jetson Orin Nano Super: what 67 TOPS buys you

We ran three detection models on the new developer kit at its 25 W setting, and measured frames per second, power and temperature on the bench.

The Orin Nano Super is the same board as last year's Orin Nano with a new power mode. At 25 W the GPU clock rises and NVIDIA quotes 67 TOPS. We wanted to know what that means for the models we actually deploy.

The setup

JetPack 6.2 on an NVMe drive, the stock heatsink and fan, and a USB power meter between the supply and the board. Each model ran for ten minutes after a five-minute warm-up.

sudo nvpmodel -m 2 # MAXN SUPER, 25 W
sudo jetson_clocks
trtexec --onnx=yolov8n.onnx --fp16 --duration=600

What follows are our own bench numbers, not NVIDIA's, and they will differ with your cooling and your model.
